DriveWealth and TrueMoney bring fractional U.S. stock investing to Southeast Asia’s digital wallet users
The partnership is designed to let TrueMoney customers move from everyday payments to U.S. equities through an embedded investing experience starting at 30 baht.

DriveWealth and TrueMoney announced a strategic partnership on October 15, 2026 to bring U.S. stock investing into TrueMoney’s digital-wallet ecosystem. The companies say the service could reach more than 30 million wallet users, allowing customers to move from everyday payments to fractional ownership of U.S. equities within the same broad financial relationship.
The investment entry point is designed for accessibility. The partners say users can begin with as little as 30 baht, while Webull Securities (Thailand) provides the licensed broker platform and DriveWealth supplies brokerage-as-a-service infrastructure. Embedding the investment flow in a wallet lowers the distribution barrier, but customers still need clear information about currency conversion, execution, custody, taxes and the risks of losing money in the underlying shares.
The partnership reflects a wider fintech strategy: use a high-frequency payments product to distribute a lower-frequency investment product. A wallet already has identity, funding and customer-engagement channels, while a brokerage infrastructure provider supplies market access and regulatory technology. The challenge is ensuring that convenience does not blur the difference between a payment balance and a volatile equity position.
Fractional shares can help a customer diversify with small amounts, but they also raise practical questions about voting rights, corporate actions, order execution and what happens if an account is transferred or closed. Those details are governed by the broker and local rules, not by the size of the minimum investment.
The companies did not disclose expected trading volume or revenue from the partnership. Its immediate significance is distribution: DriveWealth is extending its infrastructure through TrueMoney’s user base, while TrueMoney is adding a capital-markets feature to a wallet better known for payments. The commercial result will depend on repeat investing, not only initial sign-ups.
