This policy describes the site as it is currently built. It is written to be accurate rather than comprehensive, and it is not a substitute for legal advice. Before commercial launch — in particular before adding analytics, advertising or a newsletter — it must be reviewed by a qualified adviser against the regimes that apply to you, such as GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and ePrivacy.
What we collect
As presently built, Wall Street Ledger sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers, embeds no third-party pixels, and has no login, comments or newsletter. There is no account to create and no profile held about you.
Like any website, the infrastructure serving these pages processes technical request data — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent and referrer — in server logs. This is used to deliver pages and to investigate abuse and faults, not to build a profile of you.
Hosting and processors
The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes request data as our infrastructure provider and may store logs in facilities outside your country. Fonts are served from the site's own origin rather than a third-party font CDN, so loading a page does not disclose your visit to a font provider.
If we later add an analytics provider, email service or advertising partner, this section will name it before that service goes live.
Email you send us
If you write to a mailbox listed on the contact page, we hold that correspondence for as long as needed to deal with it and to keep a record of editorial decisions — for example a logged correction request. Correspondence with sources who have asked to be treated confidentially is handled under our editorial standards and is not disclosed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain processing. Write to the legal mailbox on the contact page and we will respond within the period the applicable law requires.
Because we do not operate accounts or advertising profiles, in most cases the only data we hold about a reader is server log data and any email they have sent us.
Children
This is a financial news publication intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected in the reviewed date at the top of this page. Where a change introduces new tracking or data sharing, it will be described here before it takes effect.
