HL Hunt says its Business Credit Builder reports to four bureaus — not the three its own homepage banner advertises
A closer look at HL Hunt Business Credit Builder’s bureau-reporting claims turns up a fourth agency, SBFE, buried below the headline "3 Bureaus" badge — alongside the company’s own outcome statistics for how fast members see score movement.

This is sponsored content. Wall Street Ledger has a commercial relationship with HL Hunt Financial, and the statistics and claims below are drawn directly from HL Hunt’s own website rather than independent verification.
HL Hunt’s Business Credit Builder pricing page leads with a badge reading "3 Bureaus" next to its seven-tier membership grid. Scroll further down the same page, though, and a section titled "Bureau Coverage" lists a fourth agency: alongside Dun & Bradstreet, Equifax, and Experian, HL Hunt says it also reports monthly to the Small Business Financial Exchange, or SBFE, a data-sharing cooperative that member lenders use to underwrite small-business credit. The company describes the four feeds specifically as D&B PAYDEX, Equifax Commercial Business, Experian Commercial Intelliscore, and SBFE Small Biz, all updated monthly.
SBFE occupies a different role than the three named commercial bureaus. It is not a public-facing credit bureau in the way Experian or Equifax is; it is a member-only exchange that aggregates small-business payment data and feeds it into the credit models several major bureaus and lenders use behind the scenes. Whether a prospective member treats that as "three bureaus" or "four" may depend on how they define a bureau — but HL Hunt’s own detailed page describes four separate monthly reporting feeds, a fact worth knowing before taking the homepage badge at face value.
Beyond bureau count, HL Hunt publishes a specific set of outcome statistics for existing members: it says 87% see a credit score improvement within 60 days of joining, that the average time to a first score increase is 45 days, that members gain an average of $250,000 in additional credit access, and that its member satisfaction rate runs at 94%. The company frames these figures under a "Real Member Outcomes" heading, separate from its month-by-month roadmap, which projects a Paydex score reaching roughly 80 within the first 60 days and progressing toward "prime lending and high limits" by month twelve.
None of these figures are independently audited or sourced to a third party on the page; they are presented as HL Hunt’s own reported outcomes. Readers considering the seven-tier lineup, which runs from a $9.99-per-month "Basic" plan with a $150 tradeline up to a $199.99-per-month "Billion" tier with a $15,000 tradeline, should treat both the bureau count and the outcome percentages as marketing claims from the company itself, verifiable (or not) only through HL Hunt’s own disclosures.
