HL Hunt’s Metro 2 Reporting Software turns bureau submissions into a data pipeline
The company says its platform maps source records, validates them against 200-plus rules and manages ACDV disputes, with plans ranging from $99 a month to custom enterprise pricing.

HL Hunt Financial’s Metro 2 Reporting Software is designed for organizations that furnish credit data and need to send recurring files to consumer or commercial bureaus. The company describes a workflow that converts source records into Metro 2 format, maps fields with AI assistance, validates the output and submits the resulting data to the three major credit bureaus.
The operational problem is less glamorous than the credit score it ultimately affects. Furnishers must move account numbers, balances, payment histories, status codes and dates into a standardized file while avoiding rejected records and inconsistent updates. HL Hunt says its platform checks submissions against more than 200 validation rules in real time, then flags errors before a file goes out. That can reduce manual review, but the quality of the result still depends on the source data and the rules configured for the account type.
The product also includes REST API access and ACDV dispute management, according to HL Hunt. ACDV is the automated consumer-dispute process used to communicate investigation results and corrections between furnishers and bureaus. Having the workflow in one system can help a portfolio operator track disputes, but it does not decide whether the underlying consumer’s claim is valid or eliminate the furnisher’s legal responsibility to investigate accurately and on time.
Pricing is volume-based. Starter is listed at $99 per month for up to 500 tradelines. Business is $299 for up to 5,000 tradelines and includes API access and dispute management. HL Hunt also lists Essential at $2,500 per month for up to 50,000 records and Professional at $7,500 for up to 500,000 records, with custom pricing for unlimited portfolios. Customers should clarify whether “tradeline” and “record” are measured identically, and what bureau, implementation, support or overage fees apply.
Metro 2 software is infrastructure, not a compliance safe harbor. A platform can map and validate data, but a furnisher remains responsible for permissible purpose, accuracy, dispute handling, security and the consequences of reporting incorrect information. HL Hunt’s product features and pricing are company-published claims and were not independently audited for this article.
