HL Hunt Pay sells payment processing with a promise of account continuity
The company describes a flat-rate processor with same-day or two-day settlement, AI fraud controls and multi-currency support, starting at 2.4% plus 30 cents per transaction.

HL Hunt Financial’s HL Hunt Pay is positioned as a payment processor for merchants that want card, ACH and digital-wallet acceptance without the uncertainty of an account freeze. The company’s central marketing claim is that it will not shut down a merchant’s account, a direct appeal to businesses that have experienced rolling reserves, delayed settlements or sudden payment interruptions elsewhere.
The product page lists three flat-rate plans. Starter costs 2.4% plus 30 cents per successful transaction and includes two-day settlements. Business costs 1.9% plus 20 cents and adds instant settlements, multi-currency support and advanced AI fraud detection. Enterprise uses custom volume-based pricing and includes dedicated account management and white-label options. HL Hunt says all plans include the payment platform, fraud protection and core developer tools.
The pricing is straightforward, but the economics of payment processing extend beyond the headline rate. Merchants should ask how chargebacks, refunds, cross-border transactions, rolling reserves, payout limits, ACH returns, card-network assessments and fraud losses are handled. A promise of account continuity also needs to be read alongside acceptable-use rules, underwriting rights and the processor’s obligations to networks and financial institutions.
AI fraud detection can improve authorization decisions and reduce manual review, but it creates its own governance questions. A merchant needs to know which transactions are declined, how false positives are appealed, how customer data is used, and whether the system can explain a decision to an operations team. Instant settlement can improve cash flow while also changing exposure to reversals and reserve requirements.
HL Hunt Pay’s proposition is therefore a combination of price transparency, continuity and faster access to funds. The company’s product details and “never shut down your account” positioning are company-published claims and were not independently audited for this article. A merchant should request the complete agreement, fee schedule, underwriting policy, reserve terms and dispute procedures before switching a live payment flow.
