Mintos launches commission-free stock investing for European users
The platform says customers can buy fractional shares in more than 4,000 global stocks from €1, with no order, custody or inactivity fees.

Mintos launched commission-free stock investing for European users on October 13, 2026, expanding the platform beyond its established investing products. The company says customers can buy, hold and sell more than 4,000 U.S., European and global stocks, including fractional shares from €1.
The pricing promise is designed to lower the barrier to diversified investing. Mintos says it charges no order, custody or inactivity fees, and that the service does not require a subscription or paid plan. U.S. stocks are traded in euros with no foreign-exchange charge according to the company’s launch materials. Investors should still review spreads, execution practices, tax treatment, market-hours limitations and the legal ownership structure behind fractional positions; “commission-free” does not mean risk-free or cost-free in every possible sense.
Fractional investing also changes the product’s user experience. A customer can put a small amount into a high-priced share or build a portfolio gradually, but a fraction is not necessarily the same as a directly registered whole share. Voting rights, transferability, corporate-action treatment and the timing of execution are governed by the platform and its custody arrangements. Those details matter more as a small recurring investment grows into a meaningful portfolio.
Mintos is entering a competitive European market in which brokers and fintech apps are compressing visible trading fees while competing on breadth, automation and trust. More than 4,000 securities gives the product a wide headline universe, but customers will judge it on the names actually available in their country, the quality of research and tax reporting, and how quickly orders and withdrawals are processed.
The launch announcement did not disclose expected volumes or a revenue forecast. Its immediate significance is distribution: Mintos is using its existing European customer relationship to offer direct equity exposure at a low entry amount, while leaving investors responsible for market losses and for understanding the terms of fractional ownership.
