Paymentology partners with Asia United Bank to power HelloMoney payments

Paymentology announced a partnership with Asia United Bank on October 19, 2026 to support the bank’s digital payments ecosystem, including its HelloMoney e-wallet. The cloud-native issuing and processing company is providing infrastructure intended to help AUB operate mobile banking, QR payments and digital transfer services.

The value of a processing partnership is often invisible to the end user. A wallet customer sees a balance, a transfer or a QR scan, while the issuer must authorize transactions, manage ledger updates, handle fraud controls and reconcile settlement. Moving those functions onto a scalable platform can help a bank launch new products without replacing every part of its existing digital stack.

The announcement also points to HelloMoney’s cross-border QR capabilities through Alipay+. That reach can make a domestic wallet more useful to travelers and merchants, but it introduces additional questions around currency conversion, dispute handling, merchant acceptance and the rules that apply when a Philippine account is used abroad.

For AUB, the partnership is an infrastructure choice rather than a promise of a particular customer-growth outcome. The bank will still need to manage onboarding, authentication, fraud, service reliability and customer support. For Paymentology, the deal is a case study in selling cloud-native processing to an established financial institution with an existing consumer brand.

The companies did not disclose transaction projections or financial terms. The immediate event is the technology partnership and its intended scope: Paymentology will help power AUB’s HelloMoney and related digital-payment capabilities as the bank continues to expand its mobile ecosystem.
