Tabby, the Saudi-headquartered buy-now-pay-later company, announced on September 14, 2026 that it had raised $233 million in a Series F funding round, pushing its valuation to $6.5 billion. The round was led by Blue Pool Capital, with participation from existing backers including HSG, Wellington Management, and Arbor Ventures.

The new capital is earmarked for expansion well beyond Tabby’s original BNPL product. The company has said it intends to build out consumer and SME lending, digital wallets, and broader money-management tools, moving from a single installment-payments feature toward a more general financial-services platform for its core markets of Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

The raise adds Tabby to a small group of BNPL and Gulf-region fintech companies that have secured large late-stage rounds even as global venture funding for the sector has been more selective than in the BNPL boom years of the early 2020s. A $6.5 billion valuation makes Tabby one of the more highly valued fintech companies to emerge from the Gulf region, and the strategic shift toward lending and wallets mirrors a pattern seen elsewhere in BNPL, where installment-payment providers have looked to diversify revenue beyond merchant fees on a single transaction type.

Tabby’s expansion plans will test whether the company can extend the trust and distribution it built through point-of-sale installment payments into categories — lending underwriting, deposit-like wallet balances — that carry different regulatory and risk profiles than BNPL, particularly as it scales across two different national regulatory regimes in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
