BRAC Bank launches AI-enabled digital trade finance through CORPnet
The Bangladeshi bank’s wholesale-banking platform brings import and export transactions, letters of credit and shipping guarantees into one digital channel.

BRAC Bank launched a digital trade finance platform through its CORPnet wholesale-banking portal on October 21, 2026. The platform combines Finastra’s Trade Innovation and Corporate Channels with Conpend’s Trade AI technology to give corporate customers a single channel for import and export workflows.
The bank says customers can manage letters of credit, shipping guarantees and trade financing through the platform. These instruments are document-heavy and time-sensitive: a missing field, mismatched invoice or late presentation can delay a shipment or create a dispute. Bringing applications, documents, approvals and status updates into one portal can reduce handoffs, although it does not remove the need for specialist review.
AI-enabled processing is intended to help classify and check trade documents, while real-time tracking gives treasury teams visibility into outstanding transactions. Custom management reports can also connect trade activity to working-capital planning. The value will depend on how well the system handles unusual documents, exceptions and changes in underlying commercial terms.
For BRAC Bank, the launch is a way to modernize the wholesale relationship without asking corporate clients to manage separate systems for each trade product. For Finastra and Conpend, it is a live example of combining core trade-finance workflow software with AI assistance at a bank in an emerging market.
The announcement does not disclose expected transaction volumes or quantified savings. Its significance is operational: BRAC Bank has put an AI-supported digital trade-finance workflow into its CORPnet channel, giving corporate customers a more consolidated way to manage trade instruments while leaving the bank responsible for controls and document decisions.
